At Santiago Fort in Portobelo, you can wander and discover the ruins. After that, you will hop into your kayak and paddle for approximately 20 minutes to reach a stunning beach.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy some time to unwind and snorkel prior to embarking on a 2-hour sea kayak adventure in Portobelo. Following this, a delightful local lunch will be provided.

In 1502, Christopher Columbus discovered and named Portobelo when his ships sought refuge in the "beautiful port" from a storm. Even prior to its official founding, Portobelo faced its initial assault in 1596, led by Sir Frances Drake. However, Drake succumbed to fever before he could seize Portobelo and was clandestinely interred at sea near the harbor"s entrance.
